Team NB Canada Summer Games

Golf joined the Summer Games sport program in 2009, and has been on every summer program since.

Golf has been on the Olympic program three times (1900, 1904, and 2016). Canadian Golf Hall of Famer George Lyon is the only Canadian to win an Olympic golf medal, winning gold at St. Louis 1904.

The Canada Games Selection Criteria for the 2025 Canada Summer Games is coming soon.

The two (2) male and female players with the lowest scores at the end of the three events will become members of Team New Brunswick for the 2025 Canada Summer Games. The three (3) events where players can earn points are as follows:
    • 2025 MJT Event Date TBD (2 rounds)

    4. If a player declines their spot, the next qualifying junior will be assigned to the team.
    5. Qualifying tournaments will be reviewed in early 2025 or when the schedules are known, and any changes in qualifying events will be communicated with the competitors.

  • FINAL TEAM SELECTION

The team’s announcement will occur immediately following the 2025 Golf NB Junior Provincials. If a playoff is to happen, it will happen immediately after the playoff is won. The final team selection will be based on the two junior girls and two junior boys with the lowest accumulated score over the three events (seven rounds). A press release to the public will follow after the event.

Players who are not selected for the 2025 Canada Games Team will continue to be invited to Golf NB high performance programs and camps.
