[St. Andrews, NB] – From July 19th to 21st, Golf New Brunswick hosted the 2024 Men’s Amateur Championship, driven by Audi Moncton, at the beautiful and recognized Algonquin Golf Course. This prestigious event brought together amateur golfers from across New Brunswick in a display of talent against the picturesque backdrop of St. Andrews by the sea.
The field consisted of lots of talent and competition making this championship an exciting one to be a part of! Amongst all the hard work and dedication, one athlete came out on top with an amazing final gross score of -7 (209) after three rounds. We would like to extend a huge congratulations to Darren Roach of The Riverside Golf Club on claiming his 2024 Men’s Amateur Gross Champion title. To close the presentation ceremony, Darren presented a heartfelt speech highlighting the emotions felt during the tournament by himself and groupmates, and his supports a leading him to where he is today.
