Junior Golf League Values

Discipline – Success in golf, as in life, requires focus and dedication. Through practice and competition, our junior golfers develop strong habits, learning the importance of preparation, time management, and continuous improvement. Whether it’s refining their swing or managing their emotions on the course, discipline helps young players reach their full potential.

Perseverance – Golf is a game of challenges, and every round presents new opportunities to overcome adversity. The NBJGL teaches juniors to stay determined, work through setbacks, and push forward, even when things don’t go as planned. Learning to embrace challenges with a positive mindset prepares them for success both on and off the course.

Integrity – Golf is unique in that it relies on self-regulation and honesty. The NBJGL emphasizes playing by the rules, taking responsibility for one’s actions, and making the right choices—even when no one is watching. By fostering integrity, we shape individuals who understand the value of trust and accountability in all aspects of life.

Respect – From fellow competitors to coaches, officials, and the game itself, respect is at the heart of everything we do. Our junior golfers learn to appreciate the traditions of the sport, honor their opponents, and carry themselves with humility and class, both in victory and defeat.

Sportsmanship – Winning is great, but how you play the game matters more. The NBJGL promotes an atmosphere of camaraderie and fair play, teaching players to celebrate successes, support their peers, and handle challenges with grace. By embodying good sportsmanship, our juniors build friendships, strengthen their character, and contribute to a positive golf community.
